WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging application, is planning to bring out a new feature that will allow linking a WhatsApp account to multiple devices. As of now, the messenger can be used on a single device at a time.
The Facebook owned application has been bringing new features from time to time to improve the experience of its users. Recently, it made some major changes to the WhatsApp status and video calls feature.
The company is now said to be working on a feature called Multiple Device Support. Although it is currently under testing, reports have said that it may be rolled out soon. Through this feature, a WhatsApp account can be linked to multiple devices.According to a report by WABetainfo, this feature has been seen in the beta version of WhatsApp. It is named as Linked Devices instead of Multi Device Support. The website has also shared a screenshot of it. The feature has been noticed in the beta version 2.20.143 for Android platform. The report further adds that the on android beta 2.20.143 version, it asks the user to connect to WiFi on the registration screen. ALthough the reason behind this isn't clear, the same screen says that logging in may be slow without WiFi and may use a large amount of the data plan.

Nevertheless, the feature is still in testing state and nobody knows when it will be available in a stable release.
